On writing BSD

Looking back, I’ve noticed that in every fandom I’ve written for, I’d usually have a “viewpoint” character whose perspective I find most comfortable to write in. These usually tend to be the “straight man” types most of the time, just because I’m easily weirded out by stuff, and the tendency to call it out is really strong.

For BSD, that’d be Chuuya. Surprisingly.

That said, though, my favorite guy is still Dazai, so this makes waxing poetic about him even easier. Go figure.

As for Yosano, I’m a bit afraid to write her, for fear of unintentionally turning her into an author avatar because I identify with her way too much. She deserves much more than that. Maybe I’ll get over it sometime in the future, or I’ll just end up writing yet more medical AU, just to satisfy that hunger. We’ll see.
